Recent Stuff
Hi all
Man, I'm swamped. Lots of stuff have happened in the last one week. Here's the timetable of events
24-25 May - NCC Kayaking Course at Pasir Ris Park
Not much to say. Just getting my 1 Star Badge tis all
26-27 May - Ryan's Birthday Party
Celebrating Ryan's 13th Birthday, over 2 days......
28 May - NCC HQ Trip
Nothing much. Just a trip to NCC HQ at --CENSORED-- for a familiarisation program about the Navy.
29 May - Umm......
I forgot what I did on thursday. Darn
30 May - Stuff
A short trip over the checkpoint, just for a good lunch. Oh, and Dad went flying.
31 May - Vegan Day
Went vegan for the day. Couldn't get much sleep though (Read 1 June for reason)
1 June - Mini Marathon!!!
Well, the Adidas Sundown Marathon, the first night marathon in Singapore kicked off yesterday at 8.30. But that was the ultra-marathon, also known as a full 84 Km. My uncle was in the marathon, but his was the second one. The team-corporate (42 Klicks) started at midnight. I slept till 5 am, then hopped out of bed to meet up with my uncle. His path was right next to my house, so I decided to run the last 8 Km of the run with him.
After about a klick of running, it started drizzling. Within minutes, it became a f-ing thunderstorm, complete with lightning and monsoon rain that lasted until we were a half a kilometer from the end. Water was dripping off of us as if we had just come out of a swimming pool. And the water kept on pooling on our faces time after time. But we persevered, and kept running. For the last 400 meters, he had me sprinting after him. And to think I did all that with a half digested donut in my stomach, drinking only a tiny cup of water towards the end. And I MEAN tiny.
It was hard, but we did it! He managed to complete 42 Kilometers in the dark in 6 and a half hours, the last 8 Km that I ran with him taking slightly less than an hour.
Keep in mind that we took so long because he had already been running since midnight. As for I? I had only 4 hours of sleep, I hadn't trained before hand (I only made up my mind to run with him the night before) and I had a half a donut still stuck in my stomach.
But, I have no doubts about two things. Firstly, I have achieved my impossible. I have run a distance that I had never even come close to covering before, and under those conditions. Tell me about this, say, a month ago, and I would never believe that I was capable of going the distance. Secondly, next year I am DEFINITELY going to do this again, but this time I'm going to register, enter as a contestant, and go the full 42 Km.
Now, who wants to join me?

Naval Base Trip
Hi guys
I went for my NCC Naval Base Trip yesterday. The only thing I can actually say is that I went to a Naval Base in Singapore.
In case I touch on anything sensitive, I'm not going to say anything else.
Oh, and one more thing I can say. It was d*mn fu*king hot!!!
See you again soon

Oh, and before I forget, here's Outpost Isil Episode 4.
Enjoy!

NCC Ceremony
Hi All,
Saturday was my NCC Affirmation Ceremony, and it marked my entry into the Elite CCA. (Finally, what took it so bloody long?)
Anyway, it was in fact pretty boring, and most of the time we just sat down, and did nothing.
Not much to say. See you guys real soon!
